Glitter Frosted Pumpkin Tutorial

decorated glitter frosted pumpkin tutorial via Peacoats and Plaid

I was given 3 mini pumpkins (one for each member in our little family) as a gift last week and wanted to do something fun with them. Here's what I came up with:

Supplies:

• Mini pumpkins
• Black acrylic paint
• Mod podge
• Black glitter
• Paint brush

1. Paint the stems and around the base black (my pumpkins look a little sick here, they were perfectly orange last week but I think they're getting too ripe)

2. Apply a super thick coat of Mod Podge, encourage dripping by tipping the pumpkin until it runs.

3. Dump glitter on the pumpkin, make sure to tip upside down to get the under side of the drips.

4. Let dry a few hours, wipe away excess glitter. Voila! Easy peasy.

They kind of remind me of frosted cake doughnuts... which reminds me of that pumpkin cake doughnut recipe I found on Pinterest that I want to try... time to bake! :)
